The Home Fund

Status: Not accepting new applications

The Oregon Worker Relief’s Home Fund will provide up to two months rent to immigrant Oregonians who have lost housing or are at risk of eviction.

Who is eligible?

You are eligible to apply if:

  • Your housing is not stable or you are at risk of experiencing housing instability 
  • You have an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) from the IRS or a Social Security Number (SSN)
  • You are excluded from other systems of support 

The amount of financial relief you may receive will vary depending on your individual circumstances. 

Remember, there is no cost to apply. If someone asks you to pay something, it is a scam!

The Worker Relief Fund

The Oregon Worker Relief Fund provides temporary disaster relief to Oregonians with financial need and who are excluded from the federal unemployment insurance program due to their immigration status.

Who is eligible?

You are eligible to apply for temporary financial assistance through the Relief Fund if:

  • You live in Oregon
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You lost wages because of the COVID-19 pandemic
  • You are not eligible for other assistance programs because of your immigration status.
  • You have never applied to the Relief Fund
    • OR you have applied before and been denied, but your circumstances have changed
    • OR you have applied and received cash relief once before (you can receive relief twice)

The Climate Change Fund

Status: Not accepting new applications

The Climate Change Fund gives financial assistance to agricultural workers who miss work due to extreme heat or smoke

Who is eligible?

You are eligible to apply if:

  • You have done agriculture work in Oregon since February 1, 2020 or after
    • Agriculture includes farming, landscaping, fishing, tree-planting, dairy, ranching, food processing, butchering, nursery work and more.
  • You lost work or wages because of wildfires, extreme heat, or smoke
  • You were affected by COVID-19

To qualify, the heat or smoke must reach certain risk levels:

  • The temperature must reach 90 degrees or higher in your residence or workplace.
  • OR the air quality index (AQI) must be 150 or higher. If you have certain health conditions, the AQI must be 100 or higher.

If you applied for any of the Oregon Worker Relief funds and received a letter or text message asking for additional information, please call the helpline at 1-888-274-7292 to provide the information. The helpline is open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
